Teacher Resources on the Web
The following are a few of the websites recommended for teachers because they contain resources relevant to the NZ curriculum:
Ministry NCEA material, TKI NCEA material, NZQA NCEA material - each of these sites contains something about NCEA.
Te Kete Ipurangi - this is the Ministry of Education's resource site for teachers. It contains all of the curriculum documents, lesson plans, a huge database of resources linked to the curriculum, discussion forums etc. Bilingual site.
Teachers@Work - this site is searchable and contains information related to the NZ curriculum and ranked by teachers for teachers.
English Online - this is THE place for English resources
Social Studies Online - this is the place for Social Studies resources obviously!
ESOL Online - Non English speaking background resources
New Zealand Maths - This website has sections on the Maths strands.
@ScienceSchool.NZ - New Zealand Science Curriculum resources
Assessment Resource Banks NZCER - resource banks for English, Maths and Science. Mentioned here especially for Mr Murray. He has the necessary password!
Information Literacy Online - professional readings, links to key information literacy sites world-wide, a listserv for educators to discuss issues to do with information literacy, along with Gwen Gawith’s 3 Doors to InfoLiteracy – a key information literacy resource.
NZQA - site for Unit Standard information, NCEA info, Records of Learning for students etc
Ministry of Education - NCEA information - also on TKI, publications

Leadspace - a site for principals and leaders in New Zealand schools
